Jiu Jitsu
The gentle art that emphasizes group fighting, using leverage and learnt techniques to be able to defend or submit a larger and stronger opponent or person. Brazilian jiu jitsu is practiced for self-defense, sport and hobby.
FITNESS
Physical fitness training generating overall health and well-being. For an athlete fitness will benefit, injury prevention and increased overall physical performance.
Kids
Through our children learning the martial art of jiu jitsu the purpose is to go way beyond the mat from young age. Teaching kids discipline and respect as well as building self-confidence to be able to defend their selves from bullies and in general. Also opening the opportunity to compete in sport as well as building lifelong friendships with others.
NO GI
A style of jiju jitsu where gripping of material is not permitted, and techniques are altered appropriately. A realistic transition to self-defense in the street as well as training for a rapidly growing sport.
WOMEN
The purpose of only women training is to allow females to train with other females due to preference, create a bond with the females of the academy and to grow and learn together in being able to be aggressive with each other through training for sport but no hard feelings attached.
WRESTLING
A combative sport that utilizes grappling techniques. Learning to get your partner/opponent to the ground, with clinch fighting, throws and takedowns.
Judo
A competitive combat and Olympic sport implementing how to take an opponent/person down. Not only of the offense but teaching students how to properly and safely hit the ground which can translate to sport and or self-defense.
SELF DEFENSE
Self-defense is a set of awareness, assertiveness, verbal confrontation skills, safety strategies, and physical techniques that enable someone to successfully escape, resist, and survive violent attacks. A good self-defense program provides psychological awareness and verbal skills, not just physical training.
Capoeira
A martial art with a combination of elements of dance, acrobatics and music. Athletes and children learn how to properly move improving, total body movement and control.
